What matters for a small team
- Channels. Email only, LinkedIn only, or several. Most B2B buyers need at least two.
- Oversight. Can you approve each message, or does it run on its own once started?
- Price you can see. Public, monthly pricing usually means a product built for smaller teams.
- Where replies land. A CRM and booking page included, or a sync to the ones you already pay for.
- Setup effort. Finished agents you configure versus workflows you build.

Which one fits
- Founder-led B2B, buyers on LinkedIn and email, no CRM yet: a multichannel tool with a CRM and booking built in.
- All outreach on LinkedIn: a LinkedIn-first tool such as Valley or Gojiberry.
- Funded sales team with Salesforce and a budget: an enterprise product such as 11x or Artisan.
- Want to test cheaply: per-contact pricing lets you try one segment without a contract.
Red flags in a demo
- "Fully autonomous" as the main selling point, with no way to review messages first.
- Volume promises such as thousands of emails a day from new domains.
- No public pricing and an annual minimum for a team of three.
- Vague answers about LinkedIn, especially about passwords, limits and checkpoints.
- Demo data only. Ask to see it draft messages for five of your real prospects.
How to run a fair trial
Give each tool the same segment of 50 to 150 good-fit prospects and the same offer for a month. Approve what goes out, and track replies, positive replies and booked calls. Work out cost per booked meeting using our AI SDR cost guide, and read do AI SDRs work for the failure modes to watch.
Questions for your shortlist
- Show me five drafts for my real prospects. How many would I send unchanged?
- How do I change the voice, the offer and who it targets?
- What happens when someone replies, says no, or asks to stop?
- Where do booked meetings appear, and who gets the reminder?
- What's the full monthly cost for 500 contacts, including data and sending?
Answers to these tell you more than any feature list.
