Both have a free plan, and on yearly billing Calendly's paid plans start at $10 a seat a month and Cal.com's at $12 a user a month. The figures below come from Calendly's pricing page and Cal.com's pricing page on 20 October 2026.

|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly Free | $0 | $0 | One event type, one calendar connection, customisable booking page |

Calendly says seats are required for users who connect calendars and host meetings, and that meeting invitees do not require a seat. Cal.com shows a 14-day free trial on Teams and Organizations. One small mismatch: Cal.com labels both yearly prices as a 25% saving, which is right for Teams ($12 against $16) but works out at 24% for Organizations ($28 against $37).
For one person who wants paid features, Calendly Standard costs $120 a year on yearly billing (12 × $10) and Cal.com Teams $144 (12 × $12). On monthly billing the gap widens to $144 against $192 a year (12 × $12 and 12 × $16).
Which free plan works for a cold-outreach booking link?
Cal.com's free plan covers more of what an outbound link needs. Calendly Free gives you one event type and one calendar connection, and leaves out automated reminders. Cal.com Free gives one user unlimited event types and calendars, email and SMS notifications, templated workflows and two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync. Here is how the free plans compare on the points that matter when the link goes to strangers:
| What you need | Calendly Free | Cal.com Free |
|---|---|---|
| Event types | 1 | Unlimited |
| Calendars checked for conflicts | 1 | Unlimited |
| Automated reminders | Not included (Standard and up) | Email and SMS notifications; templated workflows only |
| Vendor branding removed | No (Standard and up) | No (Teams and up) |
| Custom branding on the booking page | Included | Included |
| CRM | HubSpot from Standard, Salesforce from Teams | Two-way Salesforce and HubSpot sync |
| Send people to your own page after booking | Custom confirmation pages from Standard | Redirect on booking from Teams |
| Round-robin and routing | Teams and up | Teams and up |
Cal.com's table contradicts itself on logos. Its free plan is ticked for custom branding, described as brand colour, your logo and light or dark mode, while a separate "Add your own logo" row is ticked only from Teams up. Test it on a free account before you count on it.
Reminders and calendars: where outbound bookings break
Two things can go wrong once a prospect clicks: the slot clashes with something in a calendar the tool can't see, or the prospect forgets the call. Both tools address this on paid plans, and Cal.com covers more of it for free.
- Calendars: Calendly's table lists 1 connected calendar on Free and 6 on Standard, Teams and Enterprise, so conflicts are checked before someone books. Cal.com lists unlimited calendars on its free plan, with Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar and Zoho Calendar sync on every plan.
- Reminders: Calendly lists automated meeting reminders, described as cutting down on no-shows, from Standard up. Cal.com Free includes email and SMS notifications and templated workflows; custom workflows and customisable notifications come with Teams.
- Event types: one on Calendly Free. If you want a 20-minute first call and a longer demo, that is Standard or Cal.com Free.
If you book from work and personal calendars, Calendly Free can only check one of them. That alone is a reason to start a solo outbound motion on Cal.com Free or Calendly Standard.
Routing: what a team pays to share one link
For a team sharing one demo link, both tools put round-robin and routing forms on their Teams plan, and Cal.com's costs less per person. Calendly Teams lists round-robin, routing forms that screen invitees and route leads from Calendly, HubSpot, Pardot or Marketo forms, routing by HubSpot assignment and Salesforce record updates. Routing by Salesforce assignment needs Enterprise. Cal.com Teams lists round-robin, routing forms and basic routing; routing on custom variables and member attributes starts with Organizations.
The arithmetic for three people, at prices checked 20 October 2026:
| Three people | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Per year, yearly billing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Calendly Teams | $60 (3 × $20) | $48 (3 × $16) | $576 |
| Cal.com Teams | $48 (3 × $16) | $36 (3 × $12) | $432 |
| Calendly Standard (no round-robin) | $36 (3 × $12) | $30 (3 × $10) | $360 |
On yearly billing, Cal.com Teams saves $144 a year for three people ($576 minus $432). Calendly earns its price in other ways: its page offers Notetaker for meeting recaps and Callie, an AI assistant in beta that schedules over email, as add-ons that raise Standard to $18 a seat a month and Teams to $24 on yearly billing ($24 and $32 monthly), plus payment and contact tools. Cal.com lists more than 100 integrations on its free plan and one-click import of Calendly events if you switch.
Calendly vs Cal.com: which should you pick for outbound?
Pick by team size and budget. Our recommendations, based on each vendor's page on 20 October 2026:
| Your situation | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Solo founder, no budget | Cal.com Free | Unlimited calendars and event types, notifications and CRM sync at $0 |
| Solo founder who wants vendor branding gone and reminders | Calendly Standard | $10 a month billed yearly or $12 monthly, against $12 or $16 for Cal.com Teams |
| Two to five people sharing a demo link | Cal.com Teams | Round-robin and routing forms for $12 a user billed yearly |
| Team already on Calendly, or using its AI add-ons | Calendly Teams | Routing from HubSpot, Pardot or Marketo forms; Notetaker and Callie available as add-ons |
Whichever you pick, our advice is to keep the link out of the first cold message and share it once someone says yes.
Where a built-in booking page fits
If your outreach already runs through an AI SDR, the booking page can come with it. Siela's booking pages check every calendar you connect and send reminders. With Book a demo as the goal, Siela's AI SDR shares your booking link once someone is ready to book, and if you haven't set a link it asks for a time instead. Its follow-ups stop once the person books, says yes, says no or asks it to stop.
A separate scheduler still makes sense when you need features a built-in page doesn't list, such as round-robin across a team, routing forms or payments at booking. Those are the Calendly Teams and Cal.com Teams rows above.
How to set up an outbound booking link this week
These steps are our advice for a link that goes to people who don't know you yet.
Create one event for first calls
Make a single 20 or 30 minute event with a plain name that says what the call is for. Both free plans allow at least one event type.
Connect every calendar you use
Add work, personal and any shared calendars so no slot clashes. On Calendly Free you can connect only one; Cal.com Free and Calendly Standard take more.
Turn on reminders
Use Cal.com's templated workflows on its free plan, or Calendly's reminders from Standard. Send one reminder the day before and one an hour before.
Send the link only after a yes
Ask for interest first, then share the link in your reply. Keep a short message ready from our meeting request templates.
Book a test meeting from your phone
Open the link on a phone, book a slot, check the confirmation and reminder emails, then cancel. Fix anything that looks odd before a prospect sees it.
Review bookings on Friday
Count replies that said yes, links sent, meetings booked and meetings held. Our guide on how to book more sales meetings covers what to change when the numbers drop.
